Our club

Aeroclub Prievidza is an independent, voluntary and unpolitical organisation opened to everyone, who is interested in aviation and parachutist sport.
The club was founded in 1950. It is a civil association nowadays. Its mission is to spread and deepen interest in the aviation sports, to promote aviation tourism and influence the development of people, families and young people by life in our club.
Becoming a member of Aeroclub Prievidza can each citizen of Slovak republic or foreign country (no age, political or religious restrictions), who agrees with the Aeroclub Prievidza articles and apply the Council of Aeroclub for accession in writing.
We pay great attention to the representation of the club on the national and international level.
We do all activities according to the aviation legislation of Slovak National Aeroclub, because of the membership in SNA. With the expert preparation we ensure not only sport and spare time activities, but we also prepare qualificated pilots for other air operators. The proof of it is the amount of the professional pilots working in many air companies all over the world.
According to the aviation act about foreign relations we do aviation, parachutism and commercial activities with foreign people and organisations.

Aeroclub´s own activity is divided into two basic parts:
- to satisfy the needs of its members in the aviation training, sport and tourism,
- the commercial activities in the organising of sport, cultural and social events.

So if you want to take part in the Aeroclubs´ activities or only spend a leisure time in interesting surroundings of the airfield, you are welcome.
